After leaving the state-owned enterprise, I worked at two private companies, both with one day off per week. Moreover, in all the private companies where interviews were held, employees had one day off per week. Both the original state-owned enterprises and those mentioned in the job interviews offer two days off per week. It seems that state-owned enterprises abide by labor laws, while private enterprises basically do not. Dear sea friends, does it follow this pattern?
We are a state-owned enterprise engaged in construction work; we don’t take a single day off in a week!
Can we take time off collectively?
I’m working at a private company now; I get one day off per week. If I drive to work, then I don’t have any time off at all. I have to stay and work during holidays like May Day, National Day, and the New Year’s holidays. The pay for working on these statutory holidays is less than 100 yuan per day, but I still have to do it. We’ll talk about this again once the economic crisis is over :(

What more could you ask for with 1 day off? It’s still better than having 2 days off in January

Most private enterprises operate on a single-day off schedule; those with two days off per week are rare, and such arrangements are usually found in administrative departments. In production departments, if the work is busy, it’s not even possible to guarantee a single day off per week! *You’ll get used to it!
It’s difficult for chemical plants to have two days off; even when there isn’t much work to do, staff still need to be present at the production sites. In regular companies, employees get two days off per week and work seven hours a day. The requirement is to maintain high productivity, which means that tasks that would normally take over ten hours need to be completed within seven hours. It’s a good balance between work and rest.
