I would like to ask about the performance of air cushion conveyors. How about transporting powders, especially in terms of sealing?
We use air-cushion conveyor belts for transportation; they replace the traditional idlers, with the box panels being made of 2MM stainless steel. These belts have been in use for 14 years now, with no major issues, and require very little maintenance. Only the fans need to be scheduled for maintenance. Since the environment isn’t extremely dry, there isn’t much dust during operation. The edges of the air-cushion conveyor belt contacts the panels of the air chamber during operation, and sealing is achieved through its own weight, so there should be little dust involved.
I would like to ask the person on the second floor: how is the energy consumption compared to ordinary belt conveyors? Thank you
