I would like to ask how to choose the pipes for producing liquefied natural gas. What materials should be used? If stainless steel is used, are anti-static measures necessary, and if so, how should they be implemented?

Based on our previous design experience, the operating pressure of liquefied natural gas pipelines is very low, usually below -140°C; therefore, 0Cr18Ni9 was selected. Additionally, regarding static electricity prevention, it is generally done as follows: Static grounding is usually provided on the equipment, and for pipes connected to the equipment that are fitted with flanges, the conductivity issue is addressed by using jumper wires. During construction, after the equipment and pipes on site have been connected, static grounding and pipe bonding must be completed first before insulation for the equipment and pipes can be applied. After insulation is applied, you won’t be able to see the jumper wires for the pipes.
