Please try not to upload files as attachments, as it affects learning*. The forum is a place for exchanging knowledge; it’s inconvenient to view attachments, which causes a lot of hassle for communication. Yes, there are also issues with downloading and opening attachments. It's better to use diagrams for explanation and to ask questions, as this provides a more intuitive approach and facilitates discussion among everyone. Agree with the original poster; uploading directly facilitates communication.
Some attachments are in PDF or PPT format and can have hundreds of pages; copying text and pasting it would require a tremendous amount of work, which may lead to frustration among members who wish to participate in discussions on the forum. Generally, we require that attachments be accompanied by a table of contents, screenshots, and other explanatory text, so that members who wish to download them can understand everything at a glance. I think it’s better to send attachments. Although sending things directly seems intuitive, when there’s too much text – several pages or even a dozen pages – it’s really tedious to look at! I’ll be a bit petty here: don’t you want to use your own money to make the download? ;P ;P
