I know that for rotating equipment, it is necessary to carry out regular (or continuous) condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of its key components, in order to determine the current state of the equipment and predict future trends in its condition. Based on these trends and potential failure modes, predictive maintenance plans can be developed in advance. So how is predictive maintenance carried out for general stationary equipment? For the stationary equipment that I am aware of, such as pressure vessels or pressure pipelines, **two inspection methods are specified: in-line inspection and comprehensive inspection.** Online inspection refers to the monitoring and recording of parameters such as temperature, pressure, leaks, vibration, and safety accessories during normal production. The scope of a comprehensive inspection is much broader, including non-destructive testing, hydrostatic testing, internal component inspection, and so on; it is essentially equivalent to condition monitoring for rotating equipment (on a longer time scale). Static equipment is different from dynamic equipment after all; it has a longer operating cycle. As long as inspections are carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations to prevent overheating and overpressure, there are generally no problems. Thank you, up above. At work, I have more knowledge in the area of online monitoring of mechanical equipment, as colleagues often go to measure vibrations, temperature, and so on. But for static equipment, apart from thickness testing, I’m not sure what else to do
Thickness measurement, side leakage. Such as corrosion monitoring, evaluation techniques based on RBI. It falls under the category of predictive maintenance
Conduct regular inspections and address any issues found promptly
Our containers have inspection holes, but if a leak is detected, repairs have to be carried out afterwards
