How to open CAD

I used recovery software to restore a CAD file; the file size still appears to be correct (there’s no issue with an outdated version, as I’ve always used version 2004). However, when trying to open it, it shows that the graphic file is invalid. I hope someone experienced in this area can help me.
I agree with LS!~~ I suggest that you first copy the file to another machine and try opening it there, using the process of elimination to determine whether the CAD file is damaged. If it can be opened, then there’s an issue with the software you have installed, or it hasn’t been set up properly!! Good luck!~
If restoration is attempted after a long period of time, the files are usually not intact; part of them contains other data, and they are basically unusable.
I’ve run into this problem too; after spending a lot of time trying to fix it, I had to revert to the earlier version of the file! If the original poster finds out, please let me know. Thank you!
It recovered right away at that time; it just wouldn’t open
I don’t understand what you mean. Here’s what happened to me: I wanted to delete some files, but I couldn’t do it (on drive E). I saw a post online that suggested deleting the useful files first and then formatting drive E. I tried that, and all the files disappeared (what a harmful post!) I used the Yiwo Recovery software to restore the files; the recovered files were scattered, but most of them were restored successfully – only some files could not be opened. Some files in WORD\CAD\PDF cannot be opened; that’s just the way it is, and there should be no issue with the version.
