Are many manufacturers these days eliminating the liquid-phase balance tube, which was originally used in liquid ammonia jet pumps for balance, right from the design stage? So, in the short period following a problem with the high-pressure ammonium pump or a shutdown of the system, how can the liquid phase required by the liquid ammonia injection pump be ensured? This was mentioned by the staff on the 2nd floor during the operation, but in actual practice, accidents are inevitable; so what should be done in such situations?
The height from the liquid outlet pipe of the high-level washer to the jet pump is several dozen meters; the static pressure over this distance is several kilograms. The pumping capacity of the jet pump should be related to this static pressure. Many manufacturers have eliminated the duplicate line from the synthesis tower to the jet pump, but I have not seen any practical application guidelines for this. Is the control of the high-level washer liquid level based on the static pressure difference (the upper end of the liquid feed pipe is not necessarily full) and the adjustment of the opening degree of the ejector needle?
As the original poster said, the pipeline connecting the synthesis tower to the high-pressure scrubber has now been removed. Instead, a nuclear level gauge indicator was designed under the high-pressure washer, allowing for indication in the control room. If the gauge is broken, operation can be carried out based on the injector opening corresponding to the normal load.
As mentioned on the 5th floor, a nuclear level gauge has been installed; therefore, in daily operation and control, it is necessary to refer to the readings of this level gauge. Does the level of the liquid have some impact on the opening degree of the high-pressure liquid ammonia jet pump (under normal operating conditions)? If the high-pressure ammonium pump shuts down and the backup pump is not activated in time, then should the opening degree of your high-pressure liquid ammonia injection pump be increased appropriately?
