What impact does the uneven distance between the descending gas in the quench chamber of a water-coal slurry gas generator and the ascending gas pipe have on the process?
Why is the lower part of the gas downcomer in the quench chamber of a water-coal slurry gas generator made serrated? Can’t it be made flat-shaped? Why?
The distance is not uniform; if the deviation is too large and results in too short a distance between the two tubes, it can lead to coal ash blocking the passage between them. The end of the downcomer is made serrated to break bubbles; a flat end cannot break bubbles.
