Another question: regarding the recycle ratio in methanol synthesis!

I previously posted a question about the circulation ratio, but I still haven’t understood it. My friends’ answers were that it is the ratio of the circulation volume to the fresh gas volume. The fresh gas volume is easy to understand – it refers to the gas coming from the purification area at the inlet of the synthesis compressor. What’s unclear is whether the circulation volume refers to the gas volume after the methanol separator, or the gas volume at the inlet or outlet of the circulation machine
The flow rate at the outlet of the circulator divided by the flow rate of the fresh gas! OK
