The calculation method for natural gas in the United States and the conversion method to domestic prices Some users are interested in how natural gas is calculated in the U.S. and what the price per cubic meter is after conversion to domestic standards, but they are not entirely clear about it. I checked this on the Internet: In the United States, natural gas is measured in million British thermal units (MMBTU). The conversion is as follows: 1 MMBTU equals 28 cubic meters; therefore, if there is x MMBTU, the price per cubic meter in RMB is x/28 * exchange rate. 2. Cost calculation method for crude oil and liquefied gas: The cost of crude oil and liquefied gas is calculated as 90% of the price of 90# gasoline. In other words, the current formula for calculating the cost of liquefied gas is: factory price of 90# gasoline * 0.9. The current factory price of 90# gasoline ranges from 3,950 to 4,000 yuan per ton; therefore, the cost of liquefied gas lies between 3,550 and 3,600 yuan per ton.

3. Cost calculation method after adding customs duties to the CIF price: The formula for calculating costs is: dollars * exchange rate * customs duty * value-added tax. Currently, the customs duty on imported mixed gases is 3%, while the duty on pure propane and pure butane is 5%. The value-added tax is 13%. Taking pure propane and butane as an example, if the CIF price is 500 dollars, then the specific calculation formula is: 500 dollars * exchange rate of 8.2765 * customs duty of 1.05 * value-added tax of 1.13, resulting in a cost of 4,910.04 yuan per ton.
