After the circulation pump operated for two hours, its motor heated up and it stopped working automatically. After waiting for some time, it could be turned on again and functioned normally. I’m not sure what could cause this phenomenon Everyone, please help analyze it!
Check whether the inlet and outlet of the pump are blocked, whether the pressure is normal, and whether there are any impurities in the liquid; it’s likely that the pump is overloaded
Personally, I think that solids are generated during the exhaust gas absorption process, which causes the pump to overload; it might be worth trying a pump with a higher power rating! ! ! !
The selected head is 22 meters, which is more than sufficient for our device. The motor has a power of 2.2 kW, and that’s also no problem. The motor heats up; today the temperature is a bit lower, but it has continued to operate without stopping so far.

This phenomenon is caused by motor overload. It should be checked whether the overload is caused by an undersized motor or some other reason. During operation of the equipment, the operating current of the motor exceeds its rated value, causing the motor’s temperature to rise gradually; once it reaches a certain level, the thermal relay trips. The temperature of the motor at startup is at room temperature, and it rises gradually. The speed of increase will be slower when the temperature is low; if the temperature is even lower, the motor’s temperature will not reach the level at which the thermal relay trips, and therefore the motor will not stop. Check: Whether the load on Pump 1 is too high or the valve opening is too large, resulting in overcurrent operation. Mechanical failures of the pump lead to excessive current and overheating, such as blockages, large gaps in the sealing rings, and high internal circulation volume. 3 If the pump trips even when the current is not high, a relay failure or an issue with the electrical circuit should be checked. 4.
