I’ve signed a job in chemical engineering design; I’ll start working in August! Although I have studied chemical engineering for many years, I realize that there’s a lot of knowledge I only know where to find it; I’m not yet able to apply it flexibly! I plan to review some of the commonly used terms in the coming months, so that I can get started quickly in my future work! Don’t always make the boss think I’m just a student! ! I would appreciate some advice from forum members who have work experience and hold some position at work! ! ! !
Congratulations :) :) As for the number of courses, that’s not important; what really matters is experience. After all, I’m still a recent graduate – why would I want to give the manager the impression that I’m not a student? Being too smooth and capable might not be seen as a good thing by leaders; it’s better to keep a low profile

For design work, experience is key; Learn more from the elderly*, gather standard guidelines, read more, and broaden your knowledge in design

There’s nothing to prepare, I guess. Once you actually start working, you understand what it means to have spent years learning chemical engineering knowledge. Agree with what was said on floor 7: first find a good craftsman who will do the work thoroughly and simplify the regulations. Visit the sites more often to understand the gap between practice and theory. Modesty, low-keyness, patience.
It’s about joining a project and learning within it; if you’re lucky, you can end up in a good project. I think luck plays a role sometimes, and it also helps to have a good relationship with your supervisors so as to get assigned to good projects. In actual work, one needs to be diligent and willing to learn
Those who have just graduated should not be too assertive, otherwise they will attract unnecessary trouble; take it slow @! Maintain a low-key learning attitude and learn from those who are more experienced.
Practical experience on site is very helpful for future design. Knowledge from books alone is not enough.
You definitely need to understand chemical engineering design, instrumentation, and corrosion protection. As long as you study hard under the master and stay closely connected to production, you will learn it quickly.
In chemical engineering design, one needs to master fundamental theories such as principles of chemical engineering, chemical engineering equipment, chemical engineering drawing, and automation of chemical process instruments. As for tools, programs like Auto CAD and CAdrow are required.
