Let me start by offering some preliminary thoughts: When it comes to chemical process design, 1) it is necessary to master the basic tools: knowledge of CAD drawing for use in process design; 2) one must grasp the fundamental concepts: principles of chemistry, physical chemistry, and reaction engineering, as well as have a thorough understanding of material balance and energy balance calculations; 3) there are also chemical design standards and manuals available – such as those related to flanges, fasteners, pipe supports, valves, chemical process design manuals, quick reference guides for pipelines, and standards for process drawings (system diagrams, flowcharts, equipment layout diagrams, pipeline layout diagrams, etc.)
There should also be information on the process design of various unit operation equipment; without considering the issue of equipment selection, that represents only the initial stage of process design.
6 months of practical experience in a workshop and 3 years in a design institute are sufficient.
I worked in the workshop for four years and in the research institute for one year; it was okay
