Why is a nitrogen seal required in a heat transfer oil system?
Because there is a risk that the heat transfer oil could catch fire when in contact with air at high temperatures, if the air in the system is replaced with nitrogen, there will be no source of ignition, and thus no risk of combustion. That’s all there is to it.

When used below the upper temperature specified for its grade, heat transfer oil cannot catch fire; the idea of it catching fire is somewhat exaggerated. The purpose of using nitrogen to seal the heat transfer oil is to prevent the components within it from oxidizing or deteriorating as a result of contact with air, which could otherwise alter the properties of the oil. Additionally, certain organic substances can carbonize when exposed to oxygen at high temperatures, resulting in the formation of deposits that affect the oil’s heat-carrying capacity； Another aspect is to prevent moisture in the air from entering the oil system, which could cause violent boiling ； This is just my personal opinion; I hope to receive more guidance
