I would like to ask fellow sailors: where should the parameters mentioned in the following error messages be added? ****SEVERE ERROR IN PHYSICAL PROPERTY SYSTEM EQUATION OF STATE MODEL ESHOC HAS MISSING PARAMETERS: MUP (DATA SET 1) MISSING FOR COMPONENT EMPOH ****PROPERTY PARAMETER ERROR ERRORS ENCOUNTERED IN CALCULATION OF VAPOR MIXTURE PROPS USING OPTION SET WILS-HOC FOR PHIMX
EMPOH lacks dipole moment data. To add it: go to Properties – Parameters – Pure Component, click New on the right side, select the type of parameter you want to add; choose Scalar if you want to add a dipole moment. Click OK, and an Input table will appear. Select which component the parameter is to be added to from the Component drop-down list, and choose the parameter you want to add from the Parameters drop-down list; select MUP for dipole moment. Then enter the value of the parameter in the space provided under the selected component.
How can this parameter be estimated using software? EMPOH is a non-library component, while the other parameters are estimated based on structural parameters. I tried to figure out where to add the estimation of the dipole moment, but I couldn’t find it; it’s within the estimation section. As an exception, I would like to ask how to select the property equations for the gas phase in the simulation separately. Thank you so much for your help!
