I’m a senior this year and have the opportunity to intern at a design institute for 4 months. Are there any friends from design institutes here? Could you introduce your work? I’m from the Chemical Machinery department! The teacher said our main task is to draw (copy diagrams)!
Friend, cherish this opportunity! Show what you can do there; maybe in the future you’ll end up working there.
The first step in the equipment engineering field is drawing; previously, hand-drawing was required, but now ACAD is used for drafting. I wonder if the original poster has already passed the ACAD level test? Secondly, four months is not too short a period of time; in addition to seeking opportunities to independently design one or two stationary devices, it is also important to pay attention to the entire process of device design. For example, at what stage certain design materials should be submitted for a particular discipline, what level of detail can be achieved in the work, and when as well as to which discipline what kind of design requirements can be provided. If you understand it, it means you have achieved your actual goal this time.
These few months are truly the most crucial period, as they affect your future development; you must seize this opportunity well
It’s a great opportunity; Haiyou should make the most of it!
I’m ashamed – I only know the basics of CAD! I heard that training is required first. Does copying a drawing mean simply using CAD to draw based on an existing drawing? No new design parameters are needed, right?
Keep it up. You will definitely be able to do very well. Bless you.
Do your best; research institutes are different from companies. Having worked in both, my perspective has broadened!
The young man should work hard; one can really learn a lot at a design institute!
Today is the third day of the project; on the first day, I spent the whole morning moving computers. . In the afternoon, we talked about CAD, mainly focusing on how to call modules! No one took care of us the next day. . So I spent the whole day working with CAD (I only knew the basics before), and got familiar with the materials provided (including design specifications, drawing requirements, etc.). Today is the third day; the modules will be called, and simple device diagrams can be drawn. . Fully in English, ASME standards! Big head. . . Still getting familiar with it. . I have to work overtime again tomorrow. . Overtime can be done voluntarily. .
