One possibility is that the greater the membrane leakage, the easier it is for the iron ions that overflow from the anode tube to deposit
What is the color like, and is there a difference in the groove voltage?
It’s purplish-red, and the voltage difference isn’t significant. I don’t think it’s a membrane leak, as the pattern is too regular. Does the location matter? It’s a repolarization groove, from BITAC
The material fed into the tank is the same in all cases. If the anode outlet pipe has not been replaced since it started operating, the degree of membrane leakage will vary, and consequently the color of the anode outlet pipe will also differ. I heard this from Director Liu Xiuming at Beijing Chemical Machinery, who is in charge of training on ion exchange membranes; it’s possible to determine what’s wrong by looking at the color. I haven’t studied this aspect in detail yet. For example, iron has a rust-red color, and different metal ions have different colors, so it’s possible to figure out the cause of precipitation by observing the color
