Do valves need to be installed in front of all instruments? Why? How to design it? :handshake
Valves are generally installed in front of instruments, mainly to protect the instrument chamber
This thing is easy to replace; installing a valve makes it convenient to isolate it. If you think it won’t break, you don’t have to install it.
The standard setup in front of the instrument panel includes 3 valves: the drain valve is used for pressure relief and maintenance purposes, the secondary valve is used to shut off the branch pipe, and the primary valve serves as a backup means of shutdown in case the secondary valve fails. Some valve assemblies come equipped with drain valves and secondary valves; thus, a valve assembly together with a primary valve constitutes the instrument piping system. The valves in these instrument pipes are primarily used for protecting the instruments and facilitating maintenance work on them
There are many instruments that need to be calibrated regularly; if control valves are not used, production must be halted in order to carry out calibration or maintenance

Our pressure gauges and pressure transmitters are equipped with root valves, but there are no root valves at the flange roots of bimetallic thermometers, thermal resistance thermometers, thermocouple thermometers, or single-flange or double-flange differential pressure transmitters used for level measurement.
Valves are generally installed in front of pressure gauges! It’s basically not necessary to add anything in front of the thermocouple! More practically, is it the pressure that’s a factor, along with temperature, fluids, etc.?~~~
A valve bank plus a primary valve form an instrument loop; then is a three-valve bank itself considered an instrument loop in this case? Can another shut-off valve in the other three valve assemblies be used as a primary valve? Is this the correct way to understand it?
