The units in our plant have been operating normally for nearly half a year. After that period, oil leakage occurred on site; there were no accidents such as shutdowns during that time. The exhaust port on the coupling cover is used for venting oil and gas. What happened was that air from the outside entered inside, causing oil to accumulate in the middle part of the cover, and bubbles could be clearly seen at the oil return port. The operation of the units remained normal and stable, with sufficient oil supply. No similar issues occurred in previous years, and moreover, no technical modifications have been carried out
Oil leakage from the coupling cover is caused by oil seepage at the joint surface; there is a problem with the sealing compound on that surface. It is possible to resolve this issue by reprocessing the joint surface and applying sealant again. Additionally, make sure that the bolt joints are in a horizontal position when installing the cover, as this will improve the effectiveness of the sealing; The inward suction of air through the exhaust holes in the coupling guard is caused by excessive negative pressure in the fuel tank; try adjusting the negative pressure in the tank to around –5 Ka to see if this improves the situation.
