It’s unclear why it doesn’t go to the graywater tank The liquid in this area is already quite clean, and the sedimentation tank and the graywater tank are located quite close to each other, so gravity flow isn’t a problem. Of course, it can go to the graywater sink; if the potential energy of the vacuum flash separation tank is sufficient, flow can occur naturally, otherwise a pump is needed to drive the flow
Utilize the high alkalinity of the vacuum flash condensate and the high hardness of the black water from the sedimentation tank to reduce the hardness of the water in the sedimentation tank
As mentioned above, the condensate from the Zhenshan pump has a relatively high alkalinity. If it is sent to the graywater tank, it is very likely to cause scaling in the pipes; sending it to a sedimentation tank would be a more appropriate approach. It’s not feasible to simply recycle the condensate without proper consideration.
The design team responsible for pipelines likely considered only convenience factors, without thinking that water with high alkalinity, when combined with graywater of certain hardness, could cause scaling in the pipes I’ve seen many facilities discharge this condensate into the graywater drain.
