What should I do if I want to change jobs?

Recently, I had a change in role and became one of the deputy managers at our company. However, I really don’t want to pursue a career in production management. What should I do? I used to work in the field of process engineering, but our company has ordered me to take on this new role. Although the salary has increased, I still feel reluctant to take on this position. I don’t know what to do; I’ve even thought about changing jobs. I’m extremely frustrated these days. I hope someone can help me

I’m good at production management and used to do that very well, but due to the needs of the work – or rather, the company – I ended up working in technology development by chance. The benefits have improved a bit, and there are more opportunities for going out and networking, but I still think about returning to work in production management.
Everyone else is absolutely right, but I always feel that my life shouldn’t be like this. In production management, things are trivial and complicated; it’s not as straightforward as working in process technology. Moreover, the work I do isn’t very regular – I have to be on site 24 hours a day for at least two days each week, with very few days off. Even the managers seem to only get two days off per month. I constantly feel under great pressure, and I spend too little time with my family, making it difficult for me to enjoy family moments. In real life, we always arrange our work passively. You can talk to your manager and ask for a position that you like.
