At around 12:00 p.m. yesterday, the supervisor told me that the reaction vessel No. 3 for stearate salts experienced overload when stirring was started after adding the oxidant; several attempts to start it failed. It’s been a long time since there were any production failures, so hearing about such things makes me a bit nervous. The supervisor told me that the mixer is operating normally without any oxidizers added. I checked and found that the temperature of the reactor is 130 degrees, and the pressure is around 6 BAR; no steam has been added yet. It seemed that no reaction had yet occurred, so the operator was asked to use steam through the bottom valve to blow into the reactor; while doing this, the mixer was started in both forward and reverse directions. After about 45 minutes of effort, the mixer finally started rotating, and my anxious feelings were finally relieved. By around 16:00 in the afternoon, after adding the oxide to Reactor No. 2, the mixer once again experienced overload. I tried the same cleaning method for 30 minutes, but there was no reaction at all – it’s really strange; I was extremely worried. Have the operator continue trying using the original method, and have the maintenance worker try to turn the shaft by hand. 24 hours have passed so far, and the stirrer in the reactor still won’t start rotating.
Who can help me? The engineers abroad asked me to wait patiently for the temperature to rise; currently, the temperature of the reactor is only 123 degrees
