I want to create a tank with a diameter of 3600 and a height of 4500. The thickness of the insulation layer should be 50. I plan to use 40*6 flat steel bars, cut into sections 45 long; each section will have holes with a diameter of 10, which will serve as handles for the insulation. I would like to know what the appropriate spacing is between these holes – how far apart should they be welded, and what’s the spacing along the height? Is that flat steel placed vertically or horizontally? Waiting online, urgently
Weld one every 200–250 mm; the height interval is the same in both the vertical and horizontal directions. The flat steel bars are welded upright, at a thickness roughly equivalent to that of the insulation layer.
It is recommended to install them directly using insulation rings, with the spacing determined by the hardness of the insulation material. For soft insulation materials, the spacing is usually between 500 millimeters and 800 millimeters; for semi-hard materials, it is 1000 millimeters or 1500 millimeters. In the case of hard insulation materials, the spacing can be 2000 millimeters or 2500 millimeters. Another simple method is to weld iron wires to the device, with a length of around 80 MM and a spacing of 400 MM. This method is applicable to cases where the equipment does not have a insulation ring.
