What are the reasons for high wall temperatures in water-coal slurry gasifiers, and how should they be addressed? (The gasifier pressure is not high and the load is not great.)
If cracks appear in the furnace bricks (insulation layer) or if a small portion of them falls off, it is necessary to monitor their development, as this can otherwise lead to damage to the gasification furnace.
1. Conduct proper analysis of coal quality. 2. Control the operating temperature of the gasification furnace. 3. If the temperature in the gasification furnace remains too high for an extended period, no protective layer forms on the furnace walls; prolonged high-temperature operation causes severe wear on the refractory bricks, leading to their thinning. 4. Pay attention to whether the temperature on the furnace walls is high throughout or only in certain areas, to determine whether this is caused by air leakage through the refractory bricks
1. High oxygen-to-coal ratio 2. Longer operating time of bricks 3. Thinning of refractory bricks 4. Air leakage through brick joints 5. Severe misdirection of burner spray
This post was last edited by GSP on 2010-2-8 09:45. The operating time of the furnace bricks is the main reason. Only an area the size of a one-yuan coin has a high temperature, around 430°C. Do any of you have any good solutions?
If it operates under low load, the temperature at the upper part of the furnace will increase, likely as a result of the flame rising
The inlet to the vaporization furnace is oxygen, natural gas, and S100 steam. Both oxygen and natural gas are heated to high temperatures; that’s why a burner cooling water system is used – otherwise the burners would be damaged very quickly. Under conditions of long operation periods and high loads, the burners can still get damaged, resulting in even higher temperatures inside the furnace, exceeding 1300 degrees, with a pressure of over 10 MPa.
