1. Besides HG 20546-92 for the layout of chemical plant equipment, what are the other common standards for equipment layout? 2. What are the specifications for the spacing of equipment in Class A factories? 3. What is considered a tank farm? Are there any size requirements for the tank capacity? Should the intermediate storage tank adjacent to a Class A plant be calculated based on the equipment spacing within the tank farm (i.e., the distance between Class A storage tanks and Class A plants)? What are the mandatory standard specifications for equipment layout spacing?
I. Common codes for equipment layout include: (1) GB 50160-92 “Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises” (1999 edition); (2) GBJ 16-87 “Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings” (2001 edition); (3) GB 50058-92 “Code for Design of Electrical Installations in Explosive and Flammable Environments”; (4) SH 3011-2000 “General Rules for the Layout of Petrochemical Process Units”; (5) GB 50074-2002 “Code for Design of Oil Depots”; (6) GB 50029-2003 “Code for Design of Compressed Air Stations”; (7) GB 50030-91 “Code for Design of Oxygen Systems”; (8) GB 50031-91 “Code for Design of Acetylene Stations”; (9) GB 50041-92 “Code for Design of Boiler Rooms”; (10) GB 50156-2002 “Code for Design and Construction of Gas Station and Fueling Stations”; (11) GB 50177-93 “Code for Design of Hydrogen and Oxygen Stations”; (12) GB 50195-94 “Code for Design of Producer Gas Stations”; (13) GB 50265-97 “Code for Design of Pumping Stations”. II. For the equipment layout in Class A factories, GB 50160-92 “Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises” is generally applied. III. For the tank area, it is recommended to consult the design manual on oil port storage and transportation, which provides detailed descriptions.
The standards we commonly use are HG 20546-92, the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings, and the Code for Fire Protection of Petrochemical Enterprises! ! However, note that only one of the building codes and stone codes can be used as the primary guideline for your design; the other should be used as a reference guide! ! !
