It is recommended to create a dedicated section for learning New Concept English*. Within the special area, people will share the problems they encountered while learning, their experiences and feelings, as well as knowledge and methods; they will also discuss the usage and appropriate contexts of certain sentences and words, so that everyone can learn together and improve together.
This presents certain difficulties; at the very least, it is necessary to first find out how many learners are still using the system or continuing to study *New Concept* in order to discuss the necessity of this further

I’ve developed a real interest in the New Concept English series. I started learning it in my second year of university, but I set a high target for myself – starting with the fourth book. On the first read, I barely understood anything; however, after reading it a second and third time, things improved significantly. The series covers a lot of topics related to human geography, history, and politics, and it was very beneficial for me. I found it more engaging than studying college English at that time. It’s not just about learning languages and words; what’s important is having interest and expanding one’s knowledge. By keeping up with my studies, I passed the CET-6 by my third year – few people managed to do that at that time – and the school even rewarded me with a gold pen worth around 100 yuan. :lol :lol :lol :lol If everyone were to learn it, I don’t recommend starting like I did; it’s better to begin with volumes 2 or 3 depending on one’s own situation, and to focus more on grammar. My grammar skills are still poor at the moment, but my translation ability has improved a lot:victory:
It seems that everyone is learning the New Concept series again. May I ask, if one has passed the CET-6 with excellent results, which book in the New Concept series should they start with?
If one’s English level remains at the CET-6 level, I think it’s possible to start with Book 3; Book 4 contains more GRE vocabulary that is quite difficult. Furthermore, I believe learning English is not simply about picking up one or two reference books and frantically memorizing words; spending some time each day reading China Daily will yield even better results.
If not many people are learning the *New Concept, then there’s no point in creating this version; it’s better to make it more accessible to the general public
I’m thinking about preparing for the CET-6, Book 3. There is a difference between preparing for an exam and learning English in general; to prepare for an exam, one needs to memorize more words and do more exercises. When starting to learn English, memorizing words is the top priority – one can use a book of CET-6 vocabulary words and enhance learning through reading.
