As the title suggests, how can one be a good workshop supervisor in a chemical company? What should be paid attention to? What are the main concerns? Let’s share everyone’s experiences together
You need to understand all the process equipment; in short, you have to know everything so that no one can deceive you.:lol
Each unit is in different situations, but it seems that doing one’s own job well is the foundation. Our company has a clear division of responsibilities: the top leader is in charge of external affairs, with directors for production and equipment under him. Employees are more concerned about a person’s character, competence, and popularity among the masses; without these qualities, it’s likely impossible to succeed in one’s role, or at least to gain the support of others. Of course, there are exceptions; although... ..., the leaders still use them.
Good character, strong technical skills, and the ability to handle external relationships effectively. :)
Let’s continue the discussion! Hehe, I think interpersonal relationships are indeed a very important aspect. Last edited by Termit Colony Chief on 2009-2-18 at 10:17.]
Your question is a bit too broad; there should be some limitations, such as whether it is a state-owned enterprise or a private one. Since the nature of the enterprise differs, the responsibilities of its leadership members also vary. Take the workshop supervisor in a state-owned enterprise as an example: if you are such a supervisor, you don’t need to do everything yourself, as you have many assistants to help share the workload. Your main task is to coordinate various relationships, motivate those who work for you, and keep control over personnel and financial matters – focusing on the key aspects while delegating the less important tasks. If you are the production supervisor, your main task is to ensure that the person in charge carries out their duties properly, to help them build good interpersonal relationships, to be proficient in business matters, and to be familiar with all aspects of the workshop you oversee, including production processes, raw material conditions, and the general status of various equipment. Keep track of the work performance and professional skills of all the technicians, section chiefs, dispatchers, etc. under your supervision, so as to make reasonable assignments.
Are you the workshop supervisor? Fully trust subordinates, let them take credit for their achievements, and bear the mistakes oneself. Understand the psychology of subordinates to motivate them to work hard ; Real-time monitoring to ensure a truly harmonious work environment
It can’t be generalized; state-owned enterprises are different from private enterprises.
I believe that for a workshop supervisor, the most important thing is not technical skills; rather, it is the ability to manage, possess charisma, and demonstrate comprehensive coordination skills in order to turn the workshop into an efficient team. After all, no matter how skilled one is, it’s impossible to handle the work of an entire workshop alone. By motivating everyone, each member of the team will find the work to be easy and pleasant
The most important thing is to understand social norms, followed by technical skills; then come your communication abilities and management skills. With these, managing a workshop should be straightforward
