Why can’t some downloaded materials be used?

It’s this very problem. There’s nothing I can do about it; the files I download have those white icons. Why is that? I’m a student in the 4th year of the Storage and Transportation program. I hope those who are more experienced can give me some advice. Thank you
Perhaps your computer has too few software programs installed, which is why it cannot be opened.
Some can be used; I’ll check them in a bit
Check what format the file is in, search for the appropriate software online, and then install it.
