Dew point (or frost point) temperature: Refers to the temperature at which air reaches saturation when its water vapor content and pressure remain unchanged. Put simply, the temperature at which water vapor in the air turns into dew drops is called the dew point temperature. The dew point temperature is originally a temperature value, so why is it used to represent humidity? This is because when the water vapor in the air reaches saturation, the air temperature is equal to the dew point temperature ; When the water vapor is not saturated, the air temperature must be higher than the dew point temperature. Therefore, the difference between the dew point and the air temperature can indicate the degree to which the water vapor in the air is close to saturation. Dew point meter: An instrument that can directly measure the dew point temperature. Cool a mirror in the humid air of the sample until droplets (or ice crystals) appear on its surface; the average temperature of the mirror at that moment is the dew (frost) point temperature. It has high humidity measurement accuracy, but requires a mirror with very high smoothness, a highly precise temperature control system, as well as a highly sensitive optical detection system for detecting dewdrops (ice crystals). When in use, the pipeline for drawing in the sample air must be kept clean; otherwise, impurities within the pipeline will absorb or release moisture, resulting in measurement errors.
