To design a vacuum-operated tower, a steam jet pump is required. The designer of the pump asked for data on the pumping capacity, and determining this capacity involves taking into account the leakage rate. He said that **there are standards available for the leakage rates of containers of different volumes; I checked on industry standard websites but found no relevant information. I wonder if any of the classmates knows where such information or data can be found. Also, the leakage rate should not only be related to the volume, but also to the operating pressure, right?
Although it is knowledge used in designing containers, it would be more appropriate to discuss it in the process systems section; those who handle process calculations are likely to know such issues best.
