To the Construction Commissions of all cities: In accordance with the provisions of the Notice issued by the General Offices of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development regarding the criteria for passing the 2008 Professional Qualification Examination for Registered Engineers in Surveying and Design (Document No. 112), the criteria for passing the 2008 professional qualification examinations for Registered Public Equipment Engineers, Registered Electrical Engineers, Registered Chemical Engineers, Registered Environmental Protection Engineers, Registered Civil Engineers (Geotechnics), Registered Civil Engineers (Port and Waterway Engineering), and Registered Civil Engineers (Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering) are as follows: I. Basic Exam: The passing score for the basic exam for all types of registered engineers is 132 points (with the full score for each exam being 240 points). II. Professional ExamsThe passing standards for the professional exams of registered engineers in various specialties are shown in the table below:

According to the above passing standards, a total of 291 candidates in our province passed the exams (178 passed the basic exam, and 113 passed the professional exam). The number of candidates who passed the basic and professional exams for each specialty is shown in the table below:

I remember there were four examination rooms for the basic exam, but they didn’t seem to be fully occupied; as for the specialized exams, I’m not sure.
