I’m just starting to work on chemical engineering projects and would like to understand the classification and meaning of completion. A few days ago, I saw on a forum that there is something called \"mechanical completion.\" I would like to ask what other types of completion exist alongside mechanical completion, and what are their respective definitions?
Mechanical completion: Installation of machinery, electrical systems, instrumentation, etc. is finished, and the plant is ready for commissioning. Project completion acceptance: The process in which the employer organizes an inspection to verify that the contractor has completed all tasks specified in the construction contract and that the work meets the required standards.
The extent of mechanical completion should be the same as that for the mechanical completion of the second floor; the start of trial production serves as a milestone in the project timeline. Completion generally occurs when a project is put into operation, has been running for a certain period of time, and the final settlement has been completed; at that point, an acceptance inspection can be organized. Meeting the above conditions is usually considered to indicate completion.
First, the civil work is completed, followed by the installation of equipment and the completion of pipeline installation. After pressure testing and leak checks are finished, as well as commissioning, the facility is ready for production. Once both parties have conducted their inspections, it can be considered complete.
Completion is generally divided into: completion of individual units, completion of separate engineering projects, completion of sub-projects, and completion of specific work tasks. Typically, the owner determines these classifications based on the characteristics of the installation process
