What is the function of the air coolers on the pipe gallery?
Our air coolers are not installed in the pipe gallery; I have never seen air coolers installed there.
The air cooler should be located in the air cooling island – why is it in the pipe gallery?
Principles for the layout of air coolers: (l) Air coolers (hereinafter referred to as ACs) should be located on the downwind side of the wind direction with the lowest frequency throughout the year in the facility; (2) The air coolers should be located above the main corridor, on the top layer of the framework, or at the top of the tower ; (3) Air coolers should not be installed above equipment whose operating temperature is equal to or higher than the auto-ignition point of the material, as well as above equipment used for transporting and storing liquefied hydrocarbons ; Otherwise, non-combustible material partitions should be used for separation and protection ; (4) When multiple groups of air coolers are arranged together, they should be arranged in a consistent pattern; a row-based arrangement is preferred ; It should be avoided to have one part arranged in rows while another part is arranged in columns ; (5) For inclined-roof air coolers, the ventilation face should not be oriented toward the prevailing wind direction in summer. Slant-roof air coolers should be arranged in rows; when arranged in rows, there should be a space of at least 3 meters between the rows ; (6) The distance between the frame columns of two humidified air coolers or combined dry-wet air coolers arranged side by side shall not be less than 3 m ; (7) Platforms should be provided at both ends of the air cooler tube bundle’s tube boxes as well as at the location of the driving machinery ; (8) The floor on one side of the framework or main corridor where the air cooler is installed should provide sufficient space and access for maintenance.
Agree with the 3rd floor: The air coolers should be located in the air cooling island – why would they be in the pipe gallery? I’m also wondering about this issue. . .
Air coolers can be installed above the pipe tray; this is quite common in practice. Moreover, the width of the pipe tray is sometimes related to the air cooling system. When there are air coolers on the pipe tray, the maximum width of the pipe tray is equal to the length of the tube bundle minus 0.6 meters, while the minimum width is equal to the length of the tube bundle multiplied by 0.75. As for the function of these air coolers, I think it’s no different from that of other air coolers; it’s just that the air cooling units in the process are placed on the pipe tray~
Why are air coolers installed on the pipe gallery? I don’t understand
