This is a tricky topic to discuss, but we carried out similar activities years ago, which can give you some ideas. 1. On the management hierarchy of the analysis laboratory ; 2. Improve the efficiency of the analysis laboratory, but don’t go overboard; there are limits to what can be saved in terms of costs within the laboratory ; 3. Extended analysis and processes, as well as the impact of analysis on the environment – (this depends on your specific situation). In this way, limited resources can lead to endless possibilities, allowing you to offer valuable insights.
Regardless of the position one holds, one should first be a part of the company; therefore, it is important to first explain one’s understanding of the company’s concepts regarding energy conservation and reduction; Then take into account some specific circumstances in your own position (as mentioned on the first and second floors). Fire me! Haha, just joking: lol. In my opinion, costs can be reduced in several ways: 1. Cut unnecessary analysis tasks ; 2. Operate strictly in accordance with the procedures, control the consumption of reagents, and recycle reagents and samples of high value ; 3. Strengthen the management of analytical instruments and other facilities, enhance the sense of responsibility among inspection personnel, and reduce the wear and tear on analytical equipment or the associated maintenance costs ; 4. Promote thrift and frugality to reduce the consumption of water, electricity, office supplies, and other related resources in analysis and other tasks.
Of course, it is to introduce advanced instruments to improve accuracy and reduce the number of parallel experiments. This saves time and effort, as well as reducing the amount of reagents used. Saving water and electricity is just a small part; only advanced technologies (equipment) can lead to a significant increase in productivity (efficiency). What used to require two people can now be done by just one person; this is what truly means reducing costs.
