The company consumes 5,400 tons per year of 30% liquid caustic soda; it plans to install a processing unit, and there are several issues regarding which I would like to seek advice on: 1. The investment in the unit should be as low as possible, and so should the operating costs. What equipment is needed for the device? Can concrete-lined tiles be used for the equipment in the salt treatment process? 2. Is it better to use the by-produced chlorine to produce liquid chlorine or hydrochloric acid? The scale mentioned by the original poster is too small; initiating the project is a problem
5,400 tons per year of caustic soda – this scale is likely not feasible. Moreover, the consumption of chlorine is a problem; while the production of hydrochloric acid is possible, it’s not possible to obtain liquid chlorine for packaging either

Invest in chlor-alkali for 5,400 tons of caustic soda? Investments in environmental protection, balance of chlorine, hydrogen, steam, etc. Another issue is that the batch size is too small to be approved.
The designed capacity of 5,400 t/a for caustic soda is too low, resulting in high operating costs. It’s usually on the order of 100,000 tons per year for caustic soda production. The economics of liquid chlorine and hydrochloric acid are linked to the market. Generally, the chlorine balance is considered; liquid chlorine is better. 5400t/a of caustic soda – please purchase it from our factory. I’ll give you 5% off.
The scale is indeed too small; it’s not worth investing in at all. It’s not even as much as our factory’s output in one month.
