According to the provisions of the \"Rules for Permitting the Design of Pressure Vessels and Pressure Pipelines\", it is sufficient to affix the permit seal for special equipment design only to the drawing catalog and the plan view of the pressure pipeline for the design documents of such pipelines. This may seem legal but is unreasonable; how do you guys proceed with this? PID, equipment layout diagrams, pipe section material lists, pressure pipeline characteristic tables – these are all key and important documents in pressure pipeline design. Are none of them required to be stamped? In the past, all pressure pipeline drawings that the local technical supervision bureau required us to submit for approval had to be stamped with the pressure pipeline seal.
The pressure pipeline design approval stamp is applied to the drawing catalog and the plan view of the pressure pipelines; it serves mainly as a marker for the owner, contractors, and others during construction, ensuring that work is carried out and inspections are conducted in accordance with the requirements for pressure pipelines.
Different regions have varying requirements regarding the placement of the corresponding design qualification stamp on pressure pipeline design documents. However, the corresponding design qualification stamps should be present on various documents such as the drawing catalog, general instructions for process piping, pipe section lists, etc., as well as on the main design documents like the overall layout plan of pressure pipelines and the floor plans of each unit ； Generally, it is not marked on the single-line diagram of the pipeline. However, some design firms stamp their qualification marks on all the piping diagrams containing pressure pipelines; this mainly depends on the requirements set by the local authorities responsible for supervising special equipment and the relevant inspection institutions. In accordance with Article 31 of the Technical Specifications for Safety of Special Equipment TSG R1001-2008 – Rules for Permitting the Design of Pressure Vessels and Pressure Pipelines, after obtaining the “Design Permit,” the design entity shall engrave a seal for permitting the design of special equipment (the format is shown in Appendix E), and affix this seal to the drawings of the pressure vessels designed (the overall layout diagrams), as well as to the catalog of pressure pipeline drawings and the plan views of the pressure pipelines.
