Dear sea friends, since I am not very familiar with the process of ammonia synthesis, I would like to ask: is there a high demand for tower equipment in this process? For example, with a production capacity of 300,000 tons per year, how much investment is required for the tower equipment and pumps? Thank you first.
The number of towers used is closely related to the process flow you intend to adopt. More towers will be needed when low-temperature methanol washing combined with liquid nitrogen washing is used. I’m not sure why the original poster only wants to know the number of towers; there are actually significant differences between different types of towers. For example, both synthesis towers and desulfurization towers are considered towers, but their materials and functions differ greatly.
