Regarding temperature measurement: All temperature sensing devices shall be installed in thermowells, unless there is no risk to personnel from the process fluid during the removal of the measuring elements, such as the shell skin, motor bearings, and motor windings. My question is: 1. Does \"shell skin\" here refer to the outer surface? 2. If in this sentence, i.e. shell skin, motor bearings, and motor windings are used to describe the measuring element, then the measuring element would refer to the outer casing, motor bearings, and motor coils. However, it seems like these things have little to do with the measuring element; I’m confused. Please ask a professional for advice! Thank you so much! motor bearings and motorwindings; should “arid” be “and”, right? Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense!
I think it should also be “and”, but it’s written as “arid” in the original text; maybe it’s a spelling mistake.

My two cents: 1. Thermowells refer to thermocouple sleeves; 2. The red sentence provides a detailed explanation of the condition mentioned in the preceding “where”. (Couples for measuring) the surface temperature of the housing, the temperature of the motor bearings, and the temperature of the motor windings do not need to be installed in thermocouple sleeves; the reason is given in the blue sentence – when removing the thermocouples, the process media pose no hazard to personnel.
The explanation for ‘where’ upstairs seems correct.
