From the preparation of coal slurry to its use in production, there is a coal slurry storage tank in between. This tank is large enough to ensure an adequate amount of slurry. However, there is a lot of coal slurry attached to the walls of the tank; when the liquid level in the tank is low, this coal slurry on the walls collapses (as it is drier and of lower quality), which affects the quality of the coal slurry. How can I control the issue of slurry adhering to the walls?
Personally, I think: 1. When the mixer is in operation, deposits do form on the walls; when they fall off, they get crushed and mixed in, so it doesn’t have much of an impact. 2. Always keep the tank at a high liquid level; this way, even in the presence of wall attachments, it will not collapse, thereby preventing any impact on the quality of the coal slurry fed into the high-pressure slurry pump. The slurry discharge tank is relatively small; I think the poster is referring to the large slurry tank. Slag accumulation in the slurry tank poses a risk; if the slag falls and blocks the inlet of the slurry pump, it may lead to a shutdown. We generally require the liquid level in the slurry tank to be maintained at 60%, as the upper blades of the mixer are located at a liquid level of 50%. During operation, we try to avoid keeping the liquid level at 50% to prevent the blades from splashing the slurry against the walls of the tank, which could lead to slurry accumulation there.
