How to decorate the floor in a R&D room

I would like to ask fellow sailors: Our company’s new R&D office floor needs to be renovated. It was originally meant to be covered with terrazzo, but it has become outdated. Do any of you have any good suggestions to share? I heard that one can lay floor tiles, apply floor paint, use floor adhesive, and so on. But I don’t know how effective it is? What’s the cost? How are its wear and corrosion resistance? I thank you for this, sir.
The flooring in our company’s R&D department has been replaced, but no significant differences were observed; it’s just ordinary tiles, and no signs of corrosion were detected during use.
