I don’t understand what you mean How can we determine if the layer is too thick and causing slag to overflow, and whether scarring has occurred? Otherwise, the layer wouldn’t be too thick. In normal production, if the bottom pressure is too high, it can be reduced by increasing the air flow, using an emergency slag discharge outlet, or removing the refractory bricks at the slag overflow point in order to thin out the layer. If there is accumulated ash or scabs, the vehicle must be stopped and the material removed manually. In addition to being controlled by the height of the slag overflow opening, the bottom pressure is also influenced by factors such as air volume, furnace area, and the particle size and humidity of the ore. It can’t be generalized; generally, no control is applied. It needs to be determined based on the actual circumstances; when burning tailings, the value is as low as 600, while it is 1200 when burning pure ore. Is acid being produced from zinc concentrate or from pyrite? What is the pressure at the bottom of the furnace when the layer thickness is high? What causes this? Is it because the slag discharge port is blocked, or is there some other reason?
Increase the air pressure of the bottom fan to use the wind to blow the material out through the overflow port.
Sometimes, when burning tailings, no slag comes out from the slag discharge port at all. All were taken away, from the boiler, the cyclone, and the electrostatic precipitator. I have encountered situations where the slag discharge pipe was always cold, and after analysis it was found that this is normal. It’s okay only after driving for a few days.
Blow the wind drum for 3 minutes and see how it is; if it’s still high, blow it again. I don’t dare to use it for too long at once, or else it will get blown away in an instant
Let the strong wind blow for one or two minutes, then monitor the pressure at the bottom of the furnace; repeat this process until the pressure there becomes normal.
