After completing my doctorate, I worked on research at a national research institute; the laboratory focused on application development, and I had the opportunity to participate in the development of major projects. I also often had the chance to interact with executives and middle managers from various companies； I feel I can handle research work fairly well, but I’m awkward at workplace social interactions. Although I strive to adapt and learn, making gradual progress, it still isn’t something that truly interests me ； I want to make achievements in scientific research. Having heard from friends who have been abroad that the hardware facilities for research there are indeed of higher quality, I really want to go abroad to broaden my horizons! I hope fellow travelers who have encountered similar situations can encourage each other.

Foreign ones are probably a bit better than those at home, but I think it’s still important to bring back what you’ve learned to your own country. Everyone has a sense of patriotism; I’ve been abroad before, and when I was there I really felt that my heart was always with my country and my family.

Communication and interaction are essential. So no matter where you are, you still need to learn to adapt to the environment, rather than letting the environment adapt to you. Many foreigners are stingy; they won’t provide you with newer models unless your current equipment is broken or no longer meets the requirements. My personal reason for going abroad is to improve myself and broaden my horizons; even if I go abroad, I still plan to return.
The conditions for conducting research abroad are better, not only in terms of hardware facilities but also because there is more frequent academic exchange, an easier-to-find academic integrity, which allows researchers to be more dedicated to their work； In China, scientific research is often carried out merely to complete projects and make money, as well as to deal with the endless requirement of submitting various documents ； When it comes to corporate technology and management, the hardware conditions abroad are better than those in China.
