Based on experience, it’s necessary to check whether the temperature at the furnace outlet matches factors such as the load and coal quality. If the flue gas temperature is too high, the main steam temperature rises, and a large amount of water is needed for cooling, then it’s time to cool the water walls. If the flue gas temperature is normal and the desuperheating water is fully closed yet the steam temperature remains low, then it is necessary to use the superheater.
I used to do soot blowing on convective tube banks. The situation at that time was as follows: the furnace type was SHL20--1.6--AII. During operation, 1. the water level of the high-level gauge in the boiler drum fluctuates frequently. (The wastewater discharge, water testing, and the alkalinity of the boiler water are all within normal ranges.) 2. There is a sound of boiling water coming from the economizer at the rear (of cast-iron type). 3. The exhaust temperature rises. 4. With constant output and unchanged coal seam thickness, the rotational speed is increased. At that time, it was suspected that the smoke deflector wall in the burnout chamber was damaged, causing a short circuit in the smoke flow. Go in and check; the wall is not damaged, but there is a lot of dust buildup on the convective pipes. After things were taken care of, everything returned to normal. If the flue gas temperature is normal and the desuperheating water is fully closed yet the steam temperature remains low, then it is necessary to use the superheater.

If the temperature of the feed water after passing through the economizer is low while the temperature of the flue gas entering the tail shaft is high, then the economizer should be purged
I believe that soot blowers are essential equipment for boilers. Regarding the timing of soot blowing, it is necessary to carry out this process at regular intervals as specified by the procedures; otherwise, by the time it’s time to blow out the soot, excessive buildup has already occurred, causing unnecessary problems in production. Here I recommend online acoustic soot cleaning, that is, acoustic soot blowing is activated while the boiler is in operation, with the frequency and duration of soot blowing being set according to the amount of soot accumulated.
