Zhao Zengtai is a veteran in China’s chemical industry; he has been working hard for the development of sulfuric acid production in our country for many years, actively exploring new technologies related to sulfuric acid. As early as the 1980s, it took the lead in collaborating with Beijing Dye Factory to introduce fiber mist eliminators, Lewis acid pumps, sulfonate pumps, and catalysts from the American company Monsanto. Japan’s fire-tube boilers, superheaters, economizers, and shell-and-tube acid coolers have contributed to the development of sulfuric acid technology in our country. These technologies are now widely used in China’s sulfuric acid industry, and senior Zhao Zengtai has made significant contributions to this. In particular, the journal \"Sulfuric Acid\" edited by him is a valuable technical legacy for future generations. For this, I express my deep nostalgia and respect.
