The installation positions of the sliding supports and fixed supports for steam pipes. How is the expansion direction of the pipeline determined?
Are these all the most basic knowledge? It’s in any thermodynamics handbook, right?
First, identify the fixed point; thrust brackets must be installed at regular intervals along the pipe gallery – this part remains fixed, while the movable end represents the direction of expansion. The thermal expansion between the two fixing frames must be eliminated through compensatory measures, and the stresses that the pipeline can withstand must be met; furthermore, the thrust frame must be capable of withstanding the resulting thermal thrust.
Bends are generally installed in the middle of steam pipes, allowing the expansion force to be eliminated.
