In the ammonia synthesis section, each of the four turbine cycles is equipped with a substation – is that because of the special nature of these turbines?
Yes, since turbines are large electrical devices, they require dedicated power distribution cabinets, and the same is true for compressors. You can take a look at the compressors – each one also has its own separate power distribution cabinet.
One transformer per unit, and the distribution panels can be combined in one distribution room.
It’s probably because of the high power of the turbines (680 kW each); maybe one transformer isn’t enough.
