Ammonia corrosion from wastewater stripping

There are multiple leaks in the ammonia pipelines of our wastewater stripping unit; most of these leaks occur at the welds. Thickness measurements show that the pipelines are not thin. I’m not sure what the exact cause is or what the mechanism of corrosion is. I hope fellow sailors can help analyze this issue – I’ll give points to those who do.
Is it due to the poor welding quality of the weld joint?
Generally, ammonia corrosion is not severe; our installation has been in operation for three years with few cases of ammonia leakage, and the main issue is hydrogen sulfide corrosion. As mentioned above, it could be stress corrosion, or improper operation that led to the entry of large amounts of hydrogen sulfide into the ammonia side-line system, thereby causing corrosion.
