We use bimetallic thermometers, but we find that they are hardly ever accurate; we don’t know why. The same situation exists when we visit other companies as well.
Bimetallic thermometers inherently have a low level of measurement accuracy, so their readings are not very precise; they are provided to operators merely as a reference value. For measurements at critical points, it is necessary to use thermocouples or thermal resistors combined with temperature transmitters.
In places where circulating water is used, bimetallic thermometers are employed; if necessary, a thermal resistor can be installed to transmit the data remotely to the control room for monitoring
Since the temperature of the circulating water is not high, a thermistor can be considered for measurement. The bimetallic precision grade is lower.

Bimetallic thermometers have a relatively low level of accuracy; they are used as instruments installed on-site to provide a basis for on-site operations. If higher accuracy is required, then a PT100 thermistor should be used, as its accuracy meets the necessary standards
It’s possible that it wasn’t installed properly; generally, the thermometer should be inserted into the pipe to a depth of about 1/3 of its diameter. :lol :lol
