As the title suggests, I am currently studying the contents and requirements related to construction drawings as per standard HG20519-92. This standard specifies that pipes for chemical piping systems should be selected in accordance with HGJ35-90. However, HGJ35-90 has been replaced by standard HG20553-93. Fellow professionals, which standard do you use for selecting pipes when working on piping projects? Do you use pipes that comply with HG20553-93? ? ? ?
For domestic projects, metric pipes GB/T8163 are generally used
Pipes specified in HG 20553-93 are generally used in general chemical plants, while SH3405 is used in petrochemical plants
For ordinary small chemical processing units, pipes of Series II (non-standardized) as specified in HG 20553-93, pipes of Series I (standardized) from HG 20553-93, and SH3405 pipes are generally suitable; these are typically used in large chemical and petrochemical plants.

For the pipes to be used, those that meet national standards should be preferred, as this can help avoid many disputes and facilitate the progress of the project
The standards commonly used in chemical plants are GB/T 8163 -1999 and 14976 -1994 for long-distance pipelines, as well as GB/T 9711.1 and 9711.2 for steel pipes of grades A and B! High-pressure boilers: The GB5310-1995 standard is used; the HG standards issued by the Ministry of Chemicals are practically useless!
