For the new glass-lined reactor, it was found that there are obvious dents at the feeding port; when touching this area, it can be felt that the wall thickness is significantly thinner. What should be done in this situation? Should it be returned to the manufacturer?

If there is only a depression without any bulge, and the wall thickness decreases significantly, then wouldn’t this area be prone to breaking easily? Go to the manufacturer and ask for clarification; have them give a reason and suggest a solution
The poster is referring to the depression on the surface of the pipe outlet flange; this is usually caused by heating-induced deformation. Dents on the sealing surface can affect the sealing performance.
